What is Triund Trek ?
About Triund:
- Triund is the easiest Himalayan trek. With breathtaking views of the Kangra valley and the snow covered Dhauladhar ranges, it is also very picturesque.
- Triund is the ideal destination for those seeking a hassle-free taste of trekking in the Himalayas. The trek can easily be done over a weekend.
- The trail to Triund is short but steep. The steep climb is well-compensated by refreshing walks amongst rhododendron and oak trees. There are also various songbirds in the forests along the trail which make it a birdwatcher’s delight.
About the Triund Trek:
- Get a chance to witness the many small hamlets and stream through the trek to Triund.
- Feast your eyes at the majestic view of the Dhauladhar ranges on one side and Kangra valley on the other
- Enjoy camping at a high summit and the clear night sky under the billions of stars.
- Also, enjoy a small bonfire with your friends and the other trekkers in Alpine tents on double/triple sharing basis.
- Trek through some of the most beautiful forests of alpine and fir, Rhododendron and Oak.

Day 1 - Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 metres / 9 KM / 4 Hours)

Report at the Bhagsu Nag Taxi Stand before 10:00 AM and start the trek to Triund.

It is a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak, and rhododendron.
-
In the meanwhile, you can opt for an additional lunch.

Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole Kangra valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other.

Check into the camps at Mana Village (In case of Bad weather or Govt restriction, the campsite location will be Dharamkot)
-
Relax till the evening, when you will be participating in your first Yoga session of this tour.

After the Yoga session have a vegetarian dinner.

Overnight stay in your camps.
Day 2 - Triund to Mcleodganj and Departure (9 KM / 3 Hours)

Wake up to a mesmerizing sunrise and check out from camps after breakfast.

Start trekking back to the base camp located at Chola to end your experience of a trek to Triund.

How to reach the campsite?
-
You have to report at Bhagsu Nag Taxi Stand which is the starting point of the trek and it is around 3 km from Mcleodganj. Many local transports and private cabs are available from Mcleodganj to reach Bhagsu Nag.

Note: If the snow at the top of Triund is beyond the operator's control, the camping for the day will be organized in Dharamkot instead.

Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for this trek.

The customer needs to contact the operator to avoid any hassles.

Dual sharing tents will be available at an additional price.

The heavy rainfall at the top of Triund is beyond the operator's control, the camping for the day will be organized in Dharamkot instead.

Do carry your quilt/blanket as well for convenience.

Water/Juices are charged on site so please do carry them, if possible

Best time to camp at Triund is after mid-march, in case of extreme weather and rainfall in months{mid May, June and Julyl} of a year day trek is provided and stay is provided in Mcleodganj.

Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are not included in the package cost

Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be in part fo the deal

The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.

The trekkers must abide by the advice and instructions of the trek leaders.
-
Any no show or changes in the trek due to extreme climatic conditions, the package will not qualify for any refund policy.

Overnight stay will be provided around 2km below the Triund top due to restriction from Authorities.

On Rush days, couple of tents might be chargeable. The package includes the price of multiple sharing tents.

Rescheduling Policy - 30% of the booking value will be charged as a rescheduling fee incase if the customer wants to reschedule their booking before 2 days of the date of travel. After or on date of travel booking will not be rescheduled.
